Still Here!

Although I have to take it kind of easy, we've found some super fun things to do while we are here.  All of which include cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents!  We absolutely love living in Virginia, but being with family is sure fun.

We had intentions of going bowling with the Nelson's but unfortunately because of leagues and private parties the lanes were all full.  We still made a fun night out by taking advantage of the arcade games.  Kyle hasn't ever had the opportunity to play ski-ball, and he LOVED it!

Last night we spent the evening playing at the Pugmire's house.  Teresa (sister in-law) and Jake (cousin) made a fabulous spagetti dinner.  Tyler (cousin) was so sweet with Kyle and played with him the whole time.  He tought him how to use a tuba (adorable to see, since it is about six inches taller than Kyle!), played marble works, and Wii.  The picture below is of K-man and T-bone boxing on the Wii.  What awesome cousins Kyle has!

After a long day yesterday we got home last night and Kyle made himself quite comfortable on the floor with Grandpa Milt.  You can tell that Grandpa just absolutely couldn't stand the idea of having his adorable grandson cuddling with him! ;)
We are excited that Grandma and Grandpa Pugmire are coming down tomorrow morning to spend the weekend with us.  There is sure to be more fun in store.

We made it to Utah!

I'm just relieved that we made it!!  Thankfully my health is holding out so the pregnancy didn't keep us away.  The weather here in Utah on the day we flew in was a little dicey (friday), but thankfully that didn't keep us away either.

Saturday was set aside to recover from our long day of traveling on Friday.  We totally took it easy and let Grandma Sandy pamper us!  I've never felt the altitude change quite as bad as I did this time.  Pregnancy seems to make everything a little more pronounced!

Kyle is THRILLED to be with his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  The picture below is Kyle interrupting Grandpa Milt's Saturday afternoon nap.  Thankfully Grandpa Milt is just as excited to be with Kyle that he didn't mind his little interruption.
On Sunday it SNOWED!!  Kyle was SO excited.  We haven't seen anything more than flurries where we live in Virginia, so 'real' snow is awesome!  All he could think about on Sunday was getting out to play in the snow.  Today he got his wish!  We went over to his cousin's house and they played their hearts out.

The first picture is of Kyle and Zack making and throwing snowballs.  For those of you who know Kyle, I am pleased to say that he didn't even get upset when somebody threw a snowball at him.  There was no crying, just laughing...so great!
From left to right: Mia, Zack, Kyle, and Brooklyn.
We're lucky that Mia who is MY brother's daughter, and Brooklyn who is SCOTT'S sister's daughter (so they are both Kyle's cousins) are in the same school class and are good friends.  It was a perfect morning for Kyle to play with three of his cousins.

This is just a cute picture of Zack and Kyle warming up after their fun in the snow.  (Obviously not focusing on me, but Imagination Movers!)
We're only technically on day three, and we've already had a great time.  My parents are taking good care of me and letting me rest quite a bit, and Kyle is getting all the love an attention that a little boy could dream of.  Stay posted, I'll be sure to post more pictures of our fun time here in Utah.

We miss Scott, but are SO thankful that he supported us in coming to see family.  Thanks babe!  Enjoy all the Halo and Madden that you possibly can!

Our fun weekend

Whew! I feel like we are all still recovering from our fun weekend. Kyle and Scott spent the weekend with a bunch of friends at a beach house in North Carolina, and I got to spend the weekend scrapbooking with a bunch of ladies at a cabin in Thurmont, Maryland. It's kind of crazy that we went our separate ways, but my scrapbook weekend has been planned since May or June of last year, and the beach trip came up kind of last minute. Luckily we ALL ended up having a great time!

The highlight of Kyle's trip was playing golf! Scott was an awesome daddy and packed Kyle's clubs so that he could play to his hearts content. Sand is the perfect medium for our budding little golfer. The balls don't go too far, and he's not taking divets out of anybodys grass! Here are some cute pictures of our little Tiger Woods. They also played by the water a bit...although it was FREEZING.
And no trip to the beach house is complete without lots of Rock Band! (Mary and Lynette, I hope it's okay I'm posting this picutre!!)

I didn't really take any pictures of my fun weekend at the cabin...because I was working SO hard! I got so much scrapbooking done, it was AWESOME!! What is more fun than doing something that you love for a few days with 17 other great women? Maybe I'll have to take some pictures of all the lay-outs I completed!

It's a...

BABY!

We've had quite the exciting morning! I can't think of too many things in this world that are as exciting as seeing a beautiful healthy baby inside my belly! We saw two arms and two legs, a beating heart, a brain, a spinal cord, the kidneys, diaphram, stomach, and all the other wonderful body parts that make up a miracle that is called a child.

We took Kyle along to share in the excitement. We were hoping that by seeing the baby in my belly it would make it a little more 'real' to him. He loved to see the 'special camera' and pictures of the baby. He giggled when the baby would kick or move its arms. Oh yea, it also has an awesome profile!

Enough small talk. And the sex is....drum roll please....
Kyle's going to have a baby brother!

Awesome!

So...Scott's dad just sent us this picture this evening. HE took it TODAY! Yes, you are looking at a real Mountain Lion in its natural habitat. Seriously cool!

Scott's parents live in Fairview, Utah up in the Skyline Mountain Resort. They get to see a lot of neat wildlife, especially deer and little critters, so this was quite the treat! He said that he was about fifteen feet away from the tree when he was taking his pictures.

I just had to share!

(The ultra sound is only one week from tomorrow!!!)

Our little boy just got a whole lot BIGGER!

K-man is officially a BIG boy! Well...at least he's a sunBEAM! He actually said the phrase to me yesterday while on his way to primary "Mommy, I'm a Big boy now!" It was super cute.

We've been so lucky to have a child who LOVES primary. From day one of entering nursery, he's never looked back. Yesterday didn't seem to be any different. After church I saw his teacher and asked how it went. I was actually asking about the class in general, because she has a mighty big class of three year olds who are mostly BOYS! She said it went pretty good and then said that Kyle was great! She may have been just trying to make me feel good, but she said he was probably in the top two of good listeners in the class and that he was very pollite. HOORAY! It is always nice to know as a parent that some of what you teach your child actually sticks! Hopefully his behavior stays good...and it wasn't just a first day facad! (spelling?)

On a totally different note, just 10 days until the big ultrasound!! I can hardly wait! What's even better is that I think I might finally be feeling a little better. I've had three days in a row that food hasn't completely repulsed me! It's unbelieveable how much more energy I have now that I have a little food in my system. Hopefully I'll get a few months of this instead of just a lucky week! Honestly though, I'll take what I can get.

Happy Monday!
