For Laughs

Two funny stories from this last week...
****************************
My mom was in town last week. As you can see from the picture in the previous post, she's a pretty small gal. (Seriously, why couldn't I have gotten her genes?) Kyle LOVES to follow her around while she's here. He walked in on her before she had gotten fully dressed one morning (not nude or anything, just not fully covered) Kyle's comment to her...

"Grandma, your boobs are short like my dads."

HILARIOUS! Luckily this is not a foreign concept to her, she's never been well endowed. We weren't sure who should be offended...her or Scott.

***************************
Last Friday Kyle's friend Hannah spent the night. (Her parents were running a half-marathon on Saturday morning down in Richmond) They dropped her off around 3:00 PM on Friday. Around 3:15 PM Friday afternoon the following occurred...

Kyle and Hannah had gone up to his room to play. (We don't really keep toys in there, just a few stuffed animals.)
-Me to my Mom: "It just got quiet, never a good sign with these two. I'm going to go see what they are up to."
-Me to the kids from the bottom of the stairs: "Hey, what are you two doing up there?"
-The kids: "PLAYING DOCTOR"
-My Mom: ****LAUGHTER****
My face dropped and I started running up the stairs nervous at what I would find. (I mean seriously, do we already have to have this talk? I know that she's the bishops daughter and all... :)
I ran into their room. They were up on the top bunk surrounded by all of the stuffed animals. Giving them thorough check-ups. Completely innocent of course. Thankfully all of their animals were deemed healthy. Disaster avoided. Mom and Grandma got a good laugh out of it though...after my heart started beating back in rhythm.
****************************

My mom's response to both: "Out of the mouth of babes!"

I am catching upon your blog. Absolutely LOVE the blue eye photo of those boys! The photo of your mom & the boys is cute too. Your stories.. #1 is hilarious. I think most grandmas have those, they just aren't always shared. So fun that you shared! #2 been is that situation & grateful the result was fine but my heart did have to slow down after. What a great mother you are.
