its been quite around here

Scott and Kyle have been out of town since early Saturday morning. They'll be flying home this evening, and we're ready for them! The two 'big boys' have been on a fun father-son weekend get-away. Just as they did this time last year, they headed off to Arizona to catch as many Spring Training baseball games as possible in a weekend. Scott's family has had this tradition for years. He has fond memories of Spring Training. Last year was the first year in like seven years we were able to make the trip happen. (I'm pretty sure before then, the last time he had gone was the year we met and got married...2001)

I love it that Scott wants his son(s) to be part of the tradition. We had to wait until just a few days before they left to tell Kyle he was going to Arizona again this year...because we knew it would be all we would hear about until they left. The last time I talked to Scott on the phone, Kyle was having so much fun with his cousins that he didn't want to stop playing to talk to his mom. I should be offended...but I'm not. I'm happy for him!

Scott's brother, Jeff, lives in Mesa with his wife and SEVEN children. Grandma and Grandpa Pugmire make the drive down too, so it's a whole family affair! Kyle gets to play non-stop with some of his favorite cousins, gets to see Grandma and Grandpa, have his dad all to himself, yet still have Aunt Katherine there if a little motherly tenderness is needed. AWESOME!

I'm excited to see pictures of their travels and hear all about the fun they had.

Colby can't wait to have his favorite form of entertainment back either. AKA - His big brother!

It was a fun & exhausting for all. We LOVED having them. Kyle told me he would stay, it made me feel good. He does fine with all of our noise & activity here. Jeff always enjoys time spent with his brothers. You are always welcome to come along or maybe the girls & I should come visit you. It rained the last day they were here but, now we are back to blue skies.
